The learning theories wiki was interesting as it allowed students to collaborate and see what other students thought of the different theories of teaching. Like a few others, I found it difficult to find a partner, mostly due to the fact that I left it all too late. I feel that a simple PMI could be applied to almost any subject matter that was being taught. This gives students the ability to look at theories and concepts objectively, rather than simply accepting or rejecting a theory. By incorporating this with a wiki, students can chose to read more about the theories they are interested in and look at their peers viewpoints on those. The obvious advantage of of this combined reflection is to present to the reader ideas and concepts he or she may not have come up with on their own. By planting the seed, the reader is forced to take a more holistic approach, and consider the subject from many different perspectives.
This activity supported many learning styles, such as active and verbal learners that like to discuss ideas. As a more independent learner, I found it refreshing to be part of a bigger picture, and was certainly impressed, if not a little intimidated, by some of the reflections put forward by my peers.
